Have you heard of an ICT - information and communication technology -emergency?
As highlighted in OCHA’s HINA report, communications and information tools and resources play an increasingly important role in humanitarian response.
Poor communications can make a response even more challenging. This is the situation in the Central African Republic, where communications infrastructure is weak and Internet coverage limited.
To help improve the situation, the Emergency Telecommunications Cluster is preparing a mission to improve connectivity for aid workers.
This is how they are doing it.
